Detailed Itinerary

Kathmandu to Kohalpur

Good morning! Our trip starts from Kathmandu around 6 am, and our breakfast and lunch service will be on the way across the East-West Highway of Nepal. The highway is mostly surrounded by the green, diverse hills, deep forest, and terai terrain. We pass across Dhading-Narayanghat-Butwal-Dang to Kohalpur. Overnight stay and dinner at a standard hotel there.

Kohalpur to Manma

Good morning! After breakfast early in the morning, we move for Kalikot/Manma/Nagma. On the way to Guranshe, we then have our lunch. We get to experience the real adventure of hills from this day, where we get to see the dense Karnali River, deep forests, and the typical rural villages scattered in the hills. We get across the various communities and cultures there. Birendara Nagar surketh-GuransheDungeshwor-Rakkam Karnali-Gite Ghat and finally Kalikot District headquarters, Manma (approx. 250 km) Overnight stay and dinner service at a standard, comfy, and local hotel.

Manma to Rara

Good morning from Manma/Nagma! After enjoying breakfast, we start out on our journey on a drive towards Rara. Along the way, we might encounter notable sites such as Pili (a war tourism spot), Tila River, Heema River (known for its traditional wooden bridge), Singa Valley (the birthplace of the Nepali Khas language), and remarkable traditional villages engaged in the cultivation of Marshi rice, apples, beans, and more. As we progress, the roads become fascinating and beautiful, marking the beginning of beautiful and diverse Rara National Park. Upon reaching Bulbule, which serves as the border of Jumla district, we come across an army checkpoint; it is the start of Mugu district. We continue our journey through picturesque Mugu villages like Topla, Peena Jhyari, and Sigari until we reach our final destination, Salleri/MiliChaur. This marks the core area of Rara National Park. We’ve to arrive by 7 pm because entry is not permitted after that time. We start our scenic hike through the beautiful deep forests of Rara, which takes approximately 1 hour, and eventually settle ourselves at Rara Eco Resort I. Upon arrival, a warm welcome awaits us, with refreshing drinks offered at the hotel. In the evening, we gather around a campfire for a delightful dinner.

Explore Rara and Murmatop

Good morning! After enjoying a local-style breakfast around 7-8 am, we begin on our trip for a boating adventure. By 12 pm, we complete our sightseeing at Rara Lake and return to the hotel for lunch. Afterward, we head towards Murma Top, which is located across the traditional Murma Village. The village is a remarkable example of classical and ancient Nepalese culture. It takes approximately 45 minutes to reach the village from the hotel. From Murma village we further go on our trip of hiking towards the Murma top; it takes approx. 1 hr. One can reach the breathtaking Murma Top situated at an altitude of 3770 m above sea level. From this vantage point, the whole magnificent panoramic view of Rara Lake unfolds, along with Kanjiroba Himal, Sisne Himal, Koiki Himal, Chankheli Himal, Chhayannath Temple, Tibet, Karnali River, Humla, Jamla, Kalikot, Dolpa, and parts of the far-western region. The panoramic mountain ranges also offer glimpses of the Saipal range and the Khaptad, Badimalika, Bajura, Achham, Bajhang, and Darchula districts. Tourists often express that their tour (trek) to Rara would be incomplete without hiking to Murma Top. Finally, we return back. The dinner is served best here in our hotel around the campfire on starry nights

Rara to Jumla

Good morning. From Rara Eco Resort I. Today we move back after having our breakfast early. We hike across Rara Lake to Milichaur/Salleri. We will have lunch on the way to Sinja Valley (Gothijuila). According to your choice, you either stay in Manma or wish to stay in Jumla Bazar (the capital city). On the way, sightseeing of a typical Khas village and the beauty of the valley. Overnight stay and dinner at a standard local hotel.

Jumla to Kohalpur

Good morning! After breakfast we drive to Surkhet. Lunch is on the way, and we drive across the hills till we reach the Surkhet Valley. The religious and cultural sites we seen like Bulbule Taal, Deuti Bajai Temple, and the Kakre Bihar Heritage Site, and finally we returned to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Kohalpur to Kathmandu

Good morning! After breakfast we reset our trip to Kathmandu from Surketh-KohalphurDang-Butwal-Narayanghat-Dhading, and finally we reach the final destination. We offer lunch on the way, probably in Butwal.
